Rotterdam City Hall

Farewell gift to the former Mayor of Rotterdam, Ivo Opstelten (commissioned).

Detailed Description:
Using original blueprints, Google Earth and my own pictures I copied the entire building to scale. It was of course a difficult job. The drawing was 3D printed in wax and cast in silver. When I had all the parts in silver, I sawed, sanded, polished and assembled them all together partly with a gas-flame and partly using laser-technology. Finally I created the 18ct gold detailed sculptures by hand. It was an honour to get the opportunity to hand over this piece myself to Mr. Opstelten!
